Your email just made me tear up!  I can’t believe the boys will be going to Dugan in Sept!   I recommend your school to everyone who asks. You often hear people talk about a teacher that has tremendously impacted them. I met mine in second grade at Marlboro Elementary School. Ms. McDonald taught the Reading Enrichment program and there, she fostered my love for reading and writing. She helped guide me through the literary world and I am forever grateful for every annotation skill she taught me. I also began enrichment classes at Turtle Creek Learning Academy. These classes were a welcoming environment to not only further improve my writing and critical reading skills but also foster my creativity. At TCLA, Ms. McDonald introduced the art of poetry; it is because of her that I am a proud winner of the Gold Key from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Ms. McDonald is a teacher you will look back on and say thank you to because she has not only made you a better student but a better person.

Turtle Creek is our favorite early childhood learning center!!! My 3rd grader and 1st grader still talk about their memorable experiences such as the class trips they took in pre-k and kindergarten to Sandy Hook, The Paper Moon puppet show, and the Jenkinson’s Aquarium. Turtle Creek teachers lay down the foundation of learning by weaving meaningful and engaging activities into their lessons. Our 3 year-old currently attends Turtle Creek and we are so happy to see how much she has progressed both academically and socially throughout this school year. The teachers not only foster a love of learning, they have also helped all three of my children to develop a sense of self-respect and respect for others.

We would like to take a moment to thank you for personalizing /differentiating lessons for students. My son loves learning many different things; he especially loved the lessons on germs/bacteria/protozoa. You were able to take an abstract concept and make it assessable to pre k students. Thank you for all that you are doing to make our son’s new school experience awesome!! The foundation that you are all setting will serve him well in his future educational endeavors. All that you do is greatly appreciated! And this is coming from an educator. I know quality education when I see it. And Turtle Creek is the epitome of quality.

Selecting the right preschool and kindergarten is one of the most critical decisions parents have to make. We made this decision five years ago and decided to enroll our children in Turtle Creek. Under the supervision of Ms. McDonald and Mrs. Weiss and all of the great educators, our children thrived in the friendly and inviting environment where each child has a curriculum tailored to their specific needs. Looking at where our children stand academically and socially today, we could not have been happier with our decision.
